Ethernet module configuration

Double click on the Ethernet module. In the "Channel properties" you will find the same options as before for the CPU.

The "Switch" field, you can:

- Activate or deactivate the Ethernet ports of the Ethernet communication module

- View and change the baud rate of each port, including baud rate and duplex mode

With the "QoS" service you can define priorities on the frames

In the "Security" option, you can activate security services. See the help to know the details of each.

By clicking on the "AC1422" device, you have access to the "properties" tab for:

  • Add or remove equipment from the configuration
  • Modify the base name of the variables and data structures used by the device
  • Indicate the method for creating and modifying input and output items.

And on the "Address setting" tab to configure the equipment's IP address and enable the DHCP option for the address server.

Under the "Exclusive Owner" option, you find the "Items" option. It allows you to create input and output items to support point-to-point data transfers between scrutineers.

You will find the same option under the "STB_NIP" equipment with the option: "Request 001: Items"

In "Services - Address server", we can find the list of equipment connected with our two gateways

The "Service port" service allows you to configure ETH port 1 as an access or replication port.

In Access port mode, ETH port 1 allows you to connect via a PC with Unity Pro (or ConneXium Network Manager) in order to communicate with the CPU or the PAC or with the BMENOC0301 / 11 module itself. You can also access other equipment connected to the network.

In Port Replication mode, the port is used to monitor and capture traffic to support a network scanner (such as Wireshark). In this mode, the SERVICE port is a read-only port

In "List of equipment" you have the summary of read-only properties:

  •  Configuration data :
    • Input data image
    • Output data image
    • Maximum and actual number of devices, connections and packets

Summary of Modbus Requests and EtherNet / IP Connections

By clicking on the "STB_NIP2311" device, you have access to the same tabs as before, with the addition of the tab: "Request settings", which allows you to configure the Modbus requests relating to each device.

Under the equipment: "AC1422" you will find the option: "Exclusive Owner", which allows you to configure certain connection parameters such as:

- The connection refresh period, in milliseconds

- A value that triggers an inactivity timeout

And to have information on the connection (size of inputs / outputs, mode of inputs / outputs, type of inputs / outputs, priority of inputs / outputs, trigger of inputs)
